Powerhouse has a loyal following that dates back to the days of high school for most of us. They have the ability to transport you back in time when FUNK was funk and SOUL was soul. If they stick to that genre and focus on it, they can bring their niche to a higher notch. Oh and they lack a tenor's vocals....could use a female to join Roy as a 1-2 punch.

Hey Andy!
It was great to meet you and Jessica. Thanks so much for hanging with us on our Friday night gig as well... spending your last night in Hawaii with us meant a lot to the guys and I.

I really want to thank you and give you the props that you deserve.

You are indirectly responsible for Powerhouse being in existence. You see I met a fellow sax player on your TOP fan site http://bumpcity.net and we became good friends. I get many of the charts for the band from him.

Let us know when you're coming back to the islands... we'll throw a luau for you... a FUNKY one!

I happened to be in Hawaii last Christmas and was invited to a rehearsal with Paul"s previous band before powerhouse. I remember when us baby boomers, in our youth, could easily find a great band with a super horn section. Unfortunately, those days are gone. I can guarantee anyone that if they are going to Hawaii, Powerhouse should be first on their list of must do things. I know it is my first. I'm not an expert, I just married Paul's sister and have been fortunate to experience Paul's great talent. I just wish I could find a great band like Powerhouse where I live here in Houston. Add Roy and the other guys and powerhouse is BBBBBBBBBBad to the bone!!! Don't leave Hawaii without a Powerhouse experience!

Andy, you are so right on about this band, Powerhouse. They had feet stamping, hand clapping music which is rare these days. I agree that they played a wide range of soulful music that brought back memories for me! I also encourage music lovers to stop by and listen to them.
Rock on!
Aloha
