Emilio Castillo produces Mark Dolin CD
Tower of Power’s leader, Emilio Castillo, doesn’t take on a lot outside projects. He almost exclusively focused on the band he has led since its inception in 1968. So, when Emilio takes the time produce a CD for another artist, one should take note.
Emilio played an important role in the development and release of ‘Lookin at Tomorrow’ from Mark Dolin. Mark is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Mark Dolin has a distinct voice, and with Emilio’s assistance, has assembled an all-star band for this project.

- Raymond McKinley – bass
- Bill Moio – guitars, solos on cuts 1 and 3
- Emilio Castillo –tenor sax, vocals
- Mike Bogart – trumpet, trombone
- Kaufee Johnson – vocals
- Clarke Rigsby – vocals, guitar on opening of cut 4
- Dave Eskridge – horn arrangements, cuts 2, 4 and 9
- Mark Dolin – lead and background vocals, soprano, alto and tenor saxes and solos, flute, harmonica, vintage pianos, organ and synths, steel drum, percussion
If you’re a Tower of Power fan, you should just go buy it. If you’re not a Tower of Power fan , you should still just go buy it. It’s that good.
