Founded in 1968, The Kings of East Bay Funk & Soul, Tower of Power, are now entering their 40th year.

On or about August 13th (Per Doc Kupka), the band marks the beginning of its 5th decade. Who could have imagined, back then, that today, four of its core members would still be touring with the band. They are: Emilio Castillo, Doc Kupka, David Garibaldi, & Rocco Prestia.

The band is in the midst of working on a CD of classic soul music, arranged in the tradition of Tower of Power.

2008 kicks off this weekend at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas. There is still time to hop a plane and get to Sin City.
